Unfair Evaluation or Discipline Hurting Your Career? Correct Your Record

An unjustified NJP, adverse counseling, or performance evaluation can affect your promotion opportunities and billet assignments while you serve and limit your benefits once you leave.

Elizabeth has spent nearly a decade successfully petitioning the services' records correction boards, and understands the regulations governing what these boards will and won't fix.

What to Expect

The Records Correction Process

Corrections to your official military record such as removing NJPs, poor performance evaluations, and adverse counseling entries generally go through your service's Board for Correction of Military (or Naval) Records. These boards start from a presumption that your record is correct as-is, so a successful petition depends on documentary evidence showing a clear error or injustice, not just disagreement with how you were evaluated.
